The true story of Isa is not always easy to find.

‘Give us back our Isa,’ exclaimed one Urdu-speaking reader, ‘His Story is in books we cannot understand.’ There have been many times in history when His Story has been deliberately concealed, often by religious leaders of diverse backgrounds. The compiler and author of Ibne Mariam meticulously researched sources and historical context. His unique explanatory notes help today’s readers understand the cultural setting of those amazing events. He brings an original account of the Life of Isa into a modern world in a way that is recognizable to many.

The Miracles of Isa is Ibne Mariam in ‘Arabised English’.

Translated from the Urdu, the narrative retains not only everyday Arabic words but also the structure of Middle Eastern and Central Asian thought patterns belonging to first-generation English speakers whose family origins are from those areas of the world. As a global language spoken by diverse, often migrating, communities, English is constantly evolving. Emerging, everyday ‘Arabised English’ now finds its voice not only in The Miracles of Isa, but in the international media, including the BBC.

An esteemed professional Bengali translator visited London and came upon a copy of The Miracles of Isa.

‘This book is changing my life, ‘ she declared, ‘It makes me feel whole and its message is one of peace.’ Needless to say, she took the copy home and immediately set to work to make it available to her people. Bengali is the seventh most spoken language in the world. The uniqueness of this book was immediately recognized by leading publishers. ‘We have nothing like this in our country, people will want this here, the notes enable everyone to understand His Story for themselves.’

Like other editions featured here, the Bulgarian edition was created in response to popular demand.

When the translators witnessed the enthusiasm of the people, they were quite overwhelmed. They had not realised how difficult it had been for so many of their countrymen to have had an opportunity to read His Story for themselves. Having heard so much about Him and having held Him in high esteem for so long, this book was the first time these readers had had a chance to read His story for themselves. Soon, demand exceeded supply!

‘How I wish I had been able to read this years ago! I did not know where to find His Story.

I now know why, it is in books I would never buy. But this book is different.’

The Farsi edition of The Miracles of Isa is an eyewitness account of His Life accompanied by expert notes, maps and illustrations of the places where He lived, taught and walked. The notes are not argumentative, they are explanations, meticulously researched and informed by responses to reader enquiries.

Roohani Ramzoon is The Miracles of Isa, Sindhi style.

Approached by followers of the sufi saint, Shah Latif Bhittai (1689/1690 – 21 December 1752), the author collaborated with the honourable Syed Waqar Hussain Shah Latif to make The Miracles of Isa available in a special edition. Sufi readers are now able to read the Life and Teaching of Hazrat Isa in an edition containing an appendix with English/Sindhi extracts of Shah Latif Bhittai’s reflections on the pursuit of the knowledge of God, the ‘Beloved’. The Saint’s conviction that ‘no-one loved as much as He who hung on the cross’ points the way towards this book. The Shah Latif Foundation recommends Roohani Ramzoon to ‘all who love knowledge’.

The Arabic version is not yet print-ready, but has already attracted many positive reviews from eminent leaders in the Arabic -speaking world.
